The draw for the 2013 Women's European Championship was made in the Swedish city of Göteborg (Gothenburg) on 9/11/13, and threw up some interesting-looking encounters. The tournament will involve 12 teams and 7 stadiums, with the opening match taking place at the Örjans vall in Halmstad on 10/7/12. (In the last few weeks, the kick-off times were made public by UEFA.)
The final will be held at the Friends Arena in Solna on 28/7/12, which will be the only fixture to take place there. The Friends Arena was officially opened on 14/11/12, when Sweden's men took on their English counterparts in a friendly international and Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored that goal (together with another three). Could their female colleagues face each other in the final of the Women's Euro 2013?
